AstroFest
A yearly day-long bash where Columbia astronomers and astrophysicists come together to talk about each other's research, in the form of short presentations by investigators; followed by AstroFeast!
Start of Fall Term
Big Apple Colloquium
These special colloquia feature sough-after speakers, and are shared by the Astronomy and Physics Departments at Columbia, the Physics Department at NYU, and the Astrophysics Department at AMNH. They are held at one of the above institutions approximately twice a year.

The Bishop Lecture
The Bishop Lectures at Columbia University keep alive in the department of Astronomy the tradition of scholarly work, intellectual passion, and joie de vivre which Jeff Bishop exemplified in his all-too-short tenure with us.
