The Red Sequence and How It Got That Way

There are many physically-motivated mechanisms for shutting down the star formation within a galaxy and forcing its migration to the red sequence. Disentangling these mechanisms, in order to determine which are most efficient and which play a minimal role, requires a combination of many statistics other than just the relative abundance of blue and red objects. I will present new results that track the evolution of the red sequence from z=1 to z=0 using myriad statistics that isolate different classes of quenching mechanisms, quantifying their relative contribution to the buildup of the red sequence and how their contributions change over time.
