Computing

The departmental computing administrator is David Secrest. Information regarding local computing resources can be found on the internal wiki at this link.

Travel and Reimbursement

The Columbia University travel portal has useful resources and links for those traveling on departmental business. University travel policies can be found here and reimbursement policies here. The most recent reimbursement form is available on that site (also at this link). This form should be filed to Millie in Pupin 1325 (for graduate students traveling on departmental funds) or with Samantha in Pupin 1027 (for all others). Anyone travelling internationally is strongly encouraged to register at the global travel site.

Equal Opportunity and Other Reporting Resources

The Columbia Astronomy Department is committed to providing a welcoming climate with an emphasis on inclusion, diversity and community. The following provides some resources to anyone who has experienced discrimination, harrasment, or other related violations of University policy. The primary resource for reporting is the University Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Active (EOAA) office. Other resources which are confidential include the Columbia Ombuds office, the Columbia Health Office which includes a number for 24/7 counseling services, as well as the sexual assault response support line. Other useful reporting resources includes the American Astronomical Society.
