SSGSS: The Spitzer-SDSS-GALEX Spectroscopic Survey

Catalogs

Warning: These catalogs contain 4 extra sources not targeted by SSGSS. This will be fixed soon. If you are proposing observations of specific sources please confirm that they are in the AORs

These catalogs contain a selection of parameters obtained from the GALEX, SDSS, and Spitzer data. These parameters are split, somewhat arbitrarily, into several different catalogs, which match line by line. The catalog format is fits binary tables. A description of the columns in each table, and the source of the parameters, are given here (measured), here (derived), and here (kmeasured)

• measured.ssgss.fits - measured parameters such as coordinates, magnitudes, Petrosian radii, redshifts, line strengths etc.

• derived.ssgss.fits - `derived' parameters such as stellar masses, star formation rates, gas-phase metallicity, index strengths, etc.

• kmeasured.ssgss.fits - magnitudes K-corrected to z=0.1 using the method of Blanton et al. (2006), as well as several of the `derived' parameters regenerated using the K-corrected magnitudes.

• galex.ssgss.fits - we also provide the GALEX bandmerged catalog entries for these sources.

The following catalogs are subsets of the SDSS at MPA/JHU raw data catalogs (DR4 versions). Again, they match line by line with the catalogs given above. Users are strongly encouraged to see the SDSS at MPA/JHU site, as well as the relevant technical publications, for details and caveats.

• mass.ssgss.fits - Stellar masses, mass-to-lght ratios, dust attenuations, etc from Kauffmann et al. (2003)

• sfr.ssgss.fits - SFR measurements from Brinchmann et al. (2004)

• met.ssgss.fits - gas-phase metallicity measurements from Tremonti et al. (2004)

• line.ssgss.fits - Spectral line measurements

• index.ssgss.fits - Spectral index measurements

• phot.ssgss.fits - SDSS photometric parameters
