Caleb Scharf, director of the Columbia Astrobiology Center, and David Spiegel, Astronomy PhD alum (now at the IAS, Princeton) recently lent their expertise to the development of a new iPad app Journey to the Exoplanets. The app features an in-depth exploration of exoplanetary science and an imaginative tour of over 50 exoplanetary systems illustrated by Ron Miller, as well as interactive 3D media. Scharf also provided an audio narration for the app, produced by Farrar, Straus & Giroux/Scientific American and Brandwidth.
