Life is Fun

Sitting at a desk all day long is not very inspiring. To be more productive, it is necessary to be away from the work and refresh yourself once in a while. Not to get burnt out by the work, I have been making extra effort to do other activities. Through my undergrad years, I joined the Yonsei University Amateur Orchestra, Euphonia, playing the flute. I still practice sometimes on the roof of Pupin - inside of the dome, it sounds great no matter how you play ^^. When the weather is beautiful, I go to the Riverside Park with my yellow mountain bike. I also go to Ken-Zen dojo twice every week to practice Iaido, which helps me to develope concentration.

Family
& Friends
How lucky I am to have known these people. The people who I trust and love..., meet my family and friends.

Etc   Pupin Botanical Garden - One summer, I had to babysit two plants of Tzu-Ching's, four of Andreea's, one of my own and seamonkeys. One desk was full of greens and little creatures. Unfortunately (?) though, one of Tzu's plants blossomed while she was gone. I took pictures of her flowers and set up this a website for Tzu, who missed it.
Nevis Picnic 2002 - Kaya and Carl, good friends of mine, love not only to drink beers while they are watching their favorite TV show, "IronChef" but also to organize social events. This time, I joined their picnic to Nevis with their other friends.
AstroChef 2004 - Antara and Jen (both grad students) came up with this genius idea of setting a cooking battle between two great cooks in the department, Prof. David Helfand and a grad student, Andrei Mesinger. I happily served as the head judge in the panel of five people, also I painted the apron which was given to the winner, "AstroChef" of the year. Guess who is wearing this apron now?
Green Dog - Words of wisdom from a good friend of mine, Jake...
