RS Ophiuchi (RS Oph) is a symbiotic recurrent nova that went into outburst on February 12, 2006 (see the Astronomy Picture of the Day). We observed this eruption with the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer satellite, and our results were recently published in a paper in the journal Nature (Sokoloski et al. 2006, Nature, 442, 276).
