Swift XRT Position for IGR J18214-1318
J. P. Halpern
On 2006 February 11,
the Swift XRT observed a bright and rapidly
variable source that is the probable counterpart of IGR J18214-1318
(Bird et al. 2006).
Several faint objects are present on the DSS within a few arcseconds
of the Swift XRT quicklook position,
R.A. = 18h 21m 19.5s, Decl. = -13° 18' 39" (J2000).
Optical spectroscopy to classify them should be obtained.
Note that this source is not the RASS faint source that
was hypothesized by Stephen et al. (2006) to be the counterpart.
The latter source is not evident in the Swift XRT image.
