THE ABOVE IS AN EXAMPLE OF A GRAPH USING PGPLOT COLOR INDEX. PGSCI.THE ONLY CHANGES MADE TO THE PREVIOUS FORTRAN CODE: GRAPHICS DEVICE--vps HAS CHANGED TO vcps TO ADD COLOR TO THE GRAPH. pgsci WAS CALLED BEFORE pgpt.

TO SELECT A NEW COLOR INDEX FOR SUBSEQUENT PLOTTING, USE ROUTINE PGSCI--THIS ATTRIBUTE AFFECTS ALL THE PRIMITIVES: LINES, GRAPH-MARKERS, TEXT, AND AREA-FILL. (SET COLOR INDEX), E.G..

THE ABOVE EXAMPLE IS ALMOST THE SAME AS THE PREVIOUS GRAPH. THIS GRAPH SHOWS THE IMPORTANTS OF THE PLACEMENT OF pgsci. YOU HAVE TO SPECIFYING WHERE EXACTLY YOU WANT COLOR AND PLACE pgsci BEFORE pgpt,pglineETC. NOT SPECIFYING CAN CAUSE THE BORDER OF THE GRAPH, ERROR BARS, POINTS, LEGENDS, ETC. TO HAVE THE SAME COLOR.
