Research Interests

I started graduate school in the Department of Astronomy at Columbia University in 2020. I'm broadly interested in both observational and theoretical astrophysics. My research related to HEA has been focusing on the electromagnetic signatures of ultra-compact supermassive black hole binaries and their observation as periodic quasars in multi-wavelength surveys, such as SwiftCRTSGALEX and LSST. I investigate the gravitational wave detection aspects of these ultra-compact binaries in LISA and PTA. Additionally, I also works on the simulations of tidal interactions between stellar mass black hole and a star, using a combination of 3-D smoothed particle hydro-simulation (PHANTOM) and 1-D stellar evolution code (MESA).
