Research Interests

Daniel Groselj is a DOE postdoctoral fellow at the Columbia Astrophysics Laboratory. Before moving to Columbia he obtained his PhD in 2019 from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. For his doctoral thesis research, performed at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching (Germany), he was awarded the 2020 Otto Hahn Medal of the Max Planck Society. He is an expert on kinetic theory and particle-in-cell simulations of astrophysical plasmas. His research interests include collisionless relativistic shocks, magnetic reconnection, and kinetic turbulence in space and astrophysical plasmas.
