Emanuele Sobacchi is a postdoctoral researcher of astronomy at Columbia University. He received a Ph.D. in astrophysics at Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy) in 2016, and worked at Ben Gurion University (Beersheva, Israel) before moving to Columbia in 2019. He is interested in the application of plasma physics to the study of exotic astrophysical objects such as blazars, Gamma-Ray Bursts, and Fast Radio Bursts.
