Hiromichi Tagawa received his Ph.D. in 2017 from Tokyo University. He was a JSPS Postdoctoral fellow at Tohoku University and joined the Columbia Department of Astronomy from 2022. His interests include formation and evolution of black holes, gravitational wave and electromagnetic signatures of merging black holes, high-energy astrophysics, and stellar dynamics.
