I will briefly discuss what makes the current AI more than just “next-token prediction”. I will then go over how chatbots like ChatGPT developed into agents that can use tools and carry out research tasks with increasing autonomy. The main focus will be on how to use these agents in practice. Through a hands-on tutorial, we will go over setting up commercial agents, working through examples, and using local memory, agent skills, and MCP to increase productivity. I will also discuss the importance of data and context. It would be nice if people could bring their laptops.
