Tatsuya Matsumoto

Research Interests

Tatsuya Matsumoto received his Ph.D. at Kyoto University 2018. He was a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2018-2021 and joined the Columbia Department of Physics in 2021 as a JSPS Overseas Research Fellow.

Tatsuya's research interest is on theoretical high energy astrophysics, in particular phenomena involving black holes such as gamma-ray bursts, compact binary mergers, tidal disruption events.
