Columbia Astronomy celebrates the start of a New Year!

Astronomers across the Columbia Astronomy and Physics Departments gathered on Friday 11th September to mark the beginning of the year with our traditional "AstroFest". We celebrated our science and provided an introduction for new members of our community with over 60 talks and a dozen posters. 

Congratulations to Chloe Renard-Robins, Josh Kalish, and Tiffany Suen, the winners of our undergraduate poster competition.

Thanks to our amazing graduate students - Ana lam, Valeriia Rohoza, Stan Di Laurentiis and Katie Kotake- for organizing the day.
