Daniel Savin, a senior research scientist in the Columbia Astrophysics Laboratory has been named an honorary fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), one of the world’s largest general scientific societies, and the publisher of the Science family of journals. He was recognized for distinguished contributions to the fields of laboratory astrophysics, solar physics, and atomic physics.
