Former graduate student, Adrian Price-Whelan, wins Blavatnik Award for Young Scientists

Dr Price-Whelan graduated from Columbia in 2016, and has since held postdoctoral positions at Princeton University and the Center for Computational Astrophysics in the Flatiron Institute. He was named the winner of the Blavatnik Award in the area of Physical Sciences for his work during this time on mapping the distribution of dark matter around the Milky Way. The whole department sends its congratulations and best wishes for future successes.
